Weekends

Sometimes, weekends last a long time at our home. It seems like whenever Linus doesn't have anyone to play with, he gets wild and starts being a stinker. He was fine on saturday because we do spend our saturday evenings with Eugene's parents. Sunday after church, he was, well, a huge brat. Nothing made him happy. He asked to watch Nemo so I put the movie in and 5 minutes later, he's jumping on my bed. So I turned the movie off and made him go find something else to do. Well, I guess that made him really mad cuz he started kicking the cat and pulling on his tail. I think he spent most of the day in "time out". And after he was there for a bit, I'd ask him if he was done and ask him to come to me and he'd yell "NO" as loud as he could. It was funny the first time. After that, One of us would get up and tap his bottom and make him straighten up. After him yelling at me and not listening to me, I took him out to the living room to his dad and said that I was going to take a long hot shower and to have fun talking to the stinker. I wasn't in there for more that 10 minutes before I heard Linus crying really loud. I wasn't concerned since Eugene never came in to tell me anything bad happened. When I got out, I asked why Linus was crying and He told me that Linus opened his snack container of pretzel sticks and goldfish and decided to smash them into the couch with his hands. So his daddy put him in time out and he really doesn't like when daddy puts him there so he likes to carry on longer.
We decided at 7 pm tp go to his parents house. Linus was so excited to go to papa's house. I guess he was tired of us. The rest of the evening he was good. Except for the fact that he wants to watch tv all day long. So we decided that Linus is going to be limited on his tv watching because we really don't want him to become an "addict".

I'm learning things from him everyday. I think this weekend I was being taught patience. Hopefully by the time he's 5, I'll be really good at ignoring him tantrums. : )
