Out of the Mouths of Babes

The other evening, Linus and I were sitting on the couch talking. I was telling him that Joseph has a brother, and two sisters. Then I said that Abby had two brothers and 1 sister ( My best friend Judy's children ). And I said hopefully, someday, Linus wil be a big brother. He then looked at me and said, " Mom, I brother". I said, Well hopefully Linus but what would you name your brother and he quickly answered "2-3". ( He's been learning to count in preschool with his mema ).
I then responded with but what if it's a girl, what would you name her. He looked at me and grinned and said "temperature". I started giggling, then he did. There are days that I wish my husband would agree to having another child so Linus would have someone to play with at home besides us. He gets bored easily. And he knows how to drive me nuts. I try to play games with him but his attention span is very short right now that it only lasts a couple of minutes. We are looking at getting him some books with cd's for Christmas and maybe that will keep his attention for a little while. Who knows though. He's almost 2 1/2 and he's very busy and oh so very smart.
