Snow Day

Yesterday, about 1/8 of our town was closed due to the outragous amount of snow we got in less than 12 hours. I called the local radio station and asked them to let people know that I was closed also. I couldn't believe it. Plus, the kids here haven't been in school in 3 days. I am so glad that I don't have a daycare on days like this. Poor Judy, Dixie, and Mom. They get extra kids today again.

And to add to the stress of snow blowing, our blower wouldn't start this morning and the neighbor guy who usually helps us out with plowing was gone so my poor husband had to shovel the driveway by hand. Poor guy. I felt sorry for him as I watched from the warmth of our living room with Linus. LOL. Ours isn't the only one not working. My in-laws blowers are both broke right now. Man will this snow please let up so we can catch up with what we already have.

So yesterday was a snow/family day for our house. Eugene worked from home while Linus and I just hung out, cooked, took a long nap, and even cleaned up his messy room. That was the hardest thing I did all day. The rest of the time, we watched I think 3 movies over and over and over. It was so nice to just lounge around and do nothing. I need more days like that.

So, what does your family due on snow/cold days around your house?

well I always try to think of what people might like before I make them something. I'm glad you like it and I hop you take pictures of it and post them since I'm not able to do that here.

Oh boy! Now I'm really excited!!...can't wait!!

What we do (today) on the rare occasions I'm glad hubby is a teacher (when school is called off), is hang out. Sleep in. Make a BIG breakfast (eggs, french toast, fresh pineapple). Then wait for the temps to go up a tad before bundling up & sledding down our sloping side yard.

Have fun! Stay warm! Make a snowman!!
