What a week. It stormed really bad on Tuesday, set up day, Wednesday was blazing hot, thursday was hot but not as bad as the day before. We were told to tear things down and take cover for another big storm coming. It didn't come until around 9pm. We were just leaving for the night. Friday we got downtown and were told our tent blew over and started filling up with water but a bunch of great people helped pick it up before it got bad. The tent ripped in a bunch of places, the frame is bent. Ugggg. Saturday was nice in the morning. The parade started at noon and at around 1:30, we got hit with another huge rainstorm. I was soooo glad that was the end. I had enough of running like crazy, scooping stuff up, drying myself off. And trying to enjoy myself. I did enjoy the Polish or German songs they sang. I'm Polish so the dancing came natural. It was a site to see I'm sure. ( : 2 of my favorite songs I heard over and over and over were "If I had a Million Dollars....." and "She's too Fat for Me". The second sounds bad but its a good dancing song. Toe taping too. I must have looked like a huge dork last week but I really didn't care. I was out of the office for a week. I tried to have as much fun as possible. I even got 4 "tattoos". One is of a pirate, another is of feet, another is of turtles around my ankle. The last one is a vine crawling up my leg. I'm am too much of a chicken to get a real one so I get airbrushed every year. They last a couple of weeks. Enough for me. ( :
I decided to change the look of my blog again. I hope my reader(s) are still reading. I am going to have another contest starting tomorrow. So I hope everyone comes back to read more about me and my family now that I am not so busy.
