I am not a huge fan of halloween. I do not like the costumes people wear. Some of it actually scares Linus. The only ones that don't even phase him are pirate ones. And, again this year, he will be a pirate. For his 3rd year in a row. He choose a different one all the time but always sticks with Pirates. My mom made him his outfit and he still fits in it. Actually, he needs new pants this year but thats it.
I will be honest, my favorite part is the C-A-N-D-Y. Bad, I know.
Well, next weekend, our county park is again hosting their Holloween weekend camping party. We always have a blast and would rather it lasted even longer. They have activites for the kids to do all weekend. Hay rides, cider, coffee, hot chocolate and donuts for breakfast, scavenger hunts, pumpkin pickin', face painting, scary stories and last year they had a haunted forest but they will not have it this year because of others ruining it for all of us. Between the 3 camp sites, there are about 15 people total in our group. We have a blast, stay up late eating all the time, chasing kids, and overall, relaxing with friends and family. My kind of weekend.
I just hope that we can savor this time with friends and family and truly enjoy ourselves. Oh yeah, all the candy too. ( :

I'm not the Halloween type either. So far, since the children have been born, we dress them up and go to our church's harvest party. Then we hit our 4 surrounding neighbors to show off the little ones.
