Linus

My child is growing up to fast. Yesterday when he was at Grandma's house, he decided to climb out of his crib. He ran out to the kitchen and took Grandma in there to show her that he got down all by himself. A couple minutes later, Eugene showed up and she told him so Eugene put Linus back in his crib and said, "Now show me how you got out". And he did. The 3rd time Grandma got the video recorder out and asked him to show them again. He was a bit scared this time and did it very slowly. But he was so proud of himself. You could see it in his eyes.
This morning, I went in and got him and asked if he was going to climb out and he put his leg up but then put it down fast and said nope. I was glad because I really don't want to have to convert his bed to a toddler bed yet. I'm not ready. He's still my baby. He's my only one so far and I don't want him to grow up so fast. I know I will have to sometime but I guess I just want him to stay little for a little while longer.
He does things everyday that amazes me. One thing is that I can say to him, Can you take this to my room and put it in the dirty clothes than get your towel for bath time. 2 minutes later, here he comes down the hall with his towel for bath time and the clothes are in the dirty clothes basket. He's my child, so yes, I think he's smart but alot of people tell me he is. It gives me a big head sometimes. : )

This weekend, We're going to take Linus to see the elk and deer. We seen them last summer but I think he will like them more now that he's bigger. We're also having a campout in the living room. We told him he could last weekend but we obviously forgot. He loves falling asleep on the floor with his dad while watching a movie. It's their time to bond. I just sit back and watch.

Oh, the joy of having a family.
