I never realized before how truly blessed I am to have a wonderful family. I may not get to be with them as much or even hear from them all the time but I do think of them often.
My Dad grew up in a home of 5 kids. He being the oldest. It's Alan, Bob, Barb, Fred and Kathi. My Uncle Bobby and Aunt Brenda live only about 3 miles from my office but I hardly ever see them. Aunt Barb and Uncle Del live down state in Holly and I see them about once a year. My Uncle Fred passed away in 1987 from Hodgkins Lymphomia at age 22 ( I believe ). He married his high school sweetheart Sherry shortly after graduating. I seen her 9 years ago at my brothers wedding. Aunt Kathi lives with her husband, 8 year old son and almost 2 year of twins( boy and girl ) in New Jersey.
My mom grew up in a home of 7 kids. Holly, Charles, Rex, Claudia, Isaac, Mary and Kevin.
Aunt Holly and Uncle Whitey live in Pennsylvania. I never met my Uncle Charles as he passed away over 30 years ago from a motorcycle accident. Uncle Rex lives about 40 miles away. He use to come see me every once in a while but I haven't seen him lately. Claudia is my mom, I have never met Uncle Ike. I have no idea where he is either. Aunt Mary lives down state in Fenton with my Uncle Dave and their youngest daughter Katie. Martha just moved out to Washington with her boyfriend. Uncle Kevin lives in Philly with his wife Debbie. They have 4 boys. Jeff, Kevin, Keith, and Randall. I don't know where Jeff is, Kevin is married and has 4 kids. Keith is married and has 2 kids and his wife has 2 from previous relationships so he's raising 4. I'm not sure where Randall is either.
For me it was Chuck and I.
For my husband it was he and his younger brother Tyler.
For my sister-in-law, it was her and her older brother Allan.
Family. You may not always agree but you always love and cherish being together.
Family is always having the feeling of "home".
Family is what it's all about.
Have a great day!
