Birthday

In just 5 short days, my baby will be turning 3. I can not believe it. It still seems as if I just had him. Last night as I was laying next to him in his bed, I was trying to remember what life was like without him. I honestly can't remember. He has made my life so much more meaningfull. He brings joy to our hearts, makes our pockets and purses lighter too. He loves coins, but that's a whole other post. Almost every morning when he wakes up, I sing "you are my sunshine" to him. He always says, I'm not sunshine, I Linus. His new favorite thing to do with me or just about anyone is to sing. He was here with me at my office last saturday and I taught him the song I learned in Sunday School. Sing with me now.................
"I may never march in the infantry, ride in the calvary, shoot the artillery, I may never fly over the enemy but I'm in the Lord's army, Yes Sir. I'm in the Lord's army, Yes Sir, I'm in the Lord's army, Yes Sir. I may never march in the infantry, ride in the calvary, shoot the artillery, I may never fly over the enemy but I'm in the Lord's army, Yes Sir"!!!
He loves saluting and saying Yes Sir!!! His Papa taught him how to salute a long time ago and now he just giggles when we sing that song and can't wait to get to that part. Yes, we do the motions to the song as we sing it.
We also sing " You are my Sunshine", "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", and "Old McDonald had a farm". We sing alot of songs but those are the ones we sang on saturday. Oh yeah, we sang " Itsy Bitsy Spider" too.
I think anytime singing with your child or children shows them that you love them and you don't care how goofy you look. Any quality time is priceless.

Linus,
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray, you'll never know dear how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away.
You have made me the mother I am. You bring joy to my heart everyday. You remind me that it's ok to be silly and to just relax. I hope the next 80 years brings us closer and that we can always nap together.
I Love You Forever my Precious,
Mommy
( or as he calls me Kelly Marie )
