I have a confession......................................................

I have been sharing Linus' bed with him for the past couple of weeks.
Whew, I feel better.
The reason:
Linus hates being alone. He has to know and be with Eugene and I at all times. If we go down stairs without him, he has a major melt down and cries really hard until you return to reassure him you didn't leave him.
A couple of weeks ago, I took his crib apart and moved his dad's old super single water bed into his room. And since he always ends up in our room at night, I figured that one of us can always sleep with him at night. We take turns but mostly it's me that shares the bed with him. We both get sleep and it's always nice snuggling with you baby in the morning. But lately, he wants Daddy only. Fine with me. That way, I can sleep in my bed alone with the dog and cat without having to wake Eugene up to get the covers back. That's happened twice since we've been married. Usually I am the cover hog. And bedsides, it gives them to bond and giggle. Eugene just made up a story about a purple monkey on a quest to see the yellow crocodile. Great story too. And Linus loves the fact that it's not coming from a book for a change.
What do you do to get your kids to sleep in their rooms at night? Have you ever made up a story that you repeat? Isn't being a Mother so rewarding? I think so.
Have a glorious weekend and go enjoy the sunshine.
