On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!

Everyday when Linus and I get in the car to go to Grandma's house, I always ask him if he's ready. Well last night when I picked him up from Grandma's, I asked him if he's ready as I put the car in reverse. He said yup, mark, set, go. I thought that was the cutest thing. He's starting to amaze me again with the words he can say. Last Tuesday Linus and I accompanied my mom to the doctors office about 40 minutes from my house. We had to ride an elevator down to the 1st floor. His first time in one and he was pretty scared at first but I think holding memas hand made it a little better. When we got out she asked him if he can say elevator. He stared at her as she said it 2 more time and then said it. I said to my mom that if he can say temperature then he can definately say elevator. I think it's really neat that he will stare at you as you speak to make sure he's hearing it correctly and watches your mouth to see if he can do the same. Amazing child!

I'm taking him in next Wednesday to the doctors to get his missed shots and get Zyrtec. I'm kinda nervous about putting him on an allergy medicine but if it's what he needs, we'll do it. He's starting to get a snotty nose and runny eyes again. A major clue that he needs allergy meds.

He was in his bed all night last night for the first time in a very long time. He usually starts out in his own bed but wakes up at 2 and screams and says he's done til I go in and get him. We'll last night, I was so tired, I let him yell and Eugene delt with him. He seriously protested Daddy coming in and tapping his behind. I went in after I little bit and reassured him I was still there but that he needs to stay in his room. I left and he went to sleep until 2. He woke up doing to same stuff again and Eugene went in there again, tapped his butt and made his lay down and go back to sleep. He went right to sleep and slept until a little after 6 but he woke up talking instead of yelling. Eugene went in and brought him in to our bed and Linus was so happy to cuddle with Mommy that he fell back asleep. We got up late again. But hey, if we can get him sleeping in his bed again, then rushing in the morning is worth it.

Tomorrow is Abby's 2nd birthday party. It's going to be a gorgeous day out. Near 80. I'm so excited. We are going to her party for about 2 hours but then we are going to memas house to play outside in the sunshine and have dinner with her. Eugene, his dad and brother left today for boy scout camp for the spring camporee. No guys around for about 36 hours. It's going to be nice ( :

Have a safe weekend and go outside and enjoy the beautiful day God has provided.
